For twenty years, Dean Barger has been creating beautiful interiors in some of the finest homes in America. Trained as a fine artist, Dean brings a lifelong love of art to his work, offering his clients a wide repertoire of skills and experience. He has completed commissions with many of today's top interior designers and architects, infusing his projects with the spirit of his ancient craft while keeping an observant eye on contemporary style and taste.

Dean graduated from the Toledo Museum School in 1987 with a fine arts degree, concentrating in painting and sculpture. He formed Renaissance Decorative Artistry and proceeded to delight his clientele with successful projects throughout Manhattan, New England, Washington D.C., and Palm Beach, Florida.

In 2007, Dean celebrates two decades of success in his business and is pleased to announce the creation of Dean Barger Studios, an expansion of Renaissance Decorative Artistry. In this exciting new venture, Dean combines his existing portfolio with a new focus on individual artistic pieces, drawing inspiration from antique textile patterns and utilizing his own techniques in gilding and image design.

With studios in both Manhattan and Northeast Harbor, Maine, Dean is involved in numerous projects throughout the East Coast and is also an instructor of Decorative Art and Mural Painting at the New York School of Interior Design. He is an active member of the International Salon of Decorative Painters and has been involved in several not-for-profit projects, including the 2002 and 2005 Kips Bay Decorator Show House. His work has been featured in numerous exhibits and publications, including the 2001 Traditional Home: Built for Women Show House, the 2006 Hampton Cottages and Gardens Show House, Elle Decor, House Beautiful, Architectural Digest, and Quest "Essentials" 2006.
